to the Venice of East - Alappuzha. Alappuzha
is celebrating the world renowned water spectacle, the
55th Nehru Trophy Boat Race on the 11th
August 2007 in the Punnamada Lake,
Alappuzha. Come and watch this unique annual event of
its kind, which provides immense thrill and excitement.
Enjoy the exuberant enthusiasm of the players and the
spectators by watching the water carnival which is a rare
blend of man power, grit, discipline and the defiant spirits.
The
time of the event is 1400 hrs, IST.

the Logo
Every year logo of the Nehru Trophy
Boat Race is selected from entries received
from the public by a committee. A competition
is held for this and winner is given
a cash prize of Rs.2000/- and free pass
for the race. This year's logo is Myna
(Mynah) with a colacasia leaf cap and
a paddle in hands.
